Characterisation of foundations for reuse by inverse identification Methods

The objective of the sub-project B04 is the development of methods for non-destructive characterisation of exist-ing plate foundations intended for reuse. The geometry, the reinforcement, the condition and the contact of the plate to the ground are investigated through full waveform inversion based on the propagation of excited seismic waves. In addition, the response of the foundation slab to unloading during the dismantling of the structure is used for the characterisation. Experimental validation of the methods on foundation plates in different scales is carried out by investigating different scenarios.
