On 25 July, the Chair of Construction Materials organized a three-hour practical laboratory session for Master’s students enrolled in the module *Repair and Durability of Concrete Structures*.
The session focused on structural assessment and repair procedures for aged and damaged reinforced concrete structures.
Due to the thematic overlap with the Collaborative Research Center 1683, the reuse of structural components was also integrated as a related topic. The measurement demonstrations were therefore carried out on extracted sample elements that are being investigated for research purposes within subproject B02.
For the section on repair procedures, experts from MC-Bauchemie were invited to demonstrate and explain specific repair steps and suitable product systems using damaged reinforced concrete specimens. As in previous years, the hands-on demonstrations and the close exchange with the experienced guests were very positively received by the students.
