On September 30 and October 1, the DAfStb Research Colloquium took place at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) under the motto “Beton – es kommt darauf an, was man in Zukunft daraus macht.” 

Prof. Peter Mark was invited as keynote speaker for the “Massivbau” session. In his presentation “Modular bauen und wiederverwenden,” he showed the expert audience, based on results from Priority Program 2187 and Collaborative Research Center 1683, ways in which costs and greenhouse gas emissions in concrete construction can be reduced in the future through flow production and modular construction as well as the reuse of reinforced concrete components.
