The first Academic Lunch on June 6, 2025 marks the start of a series of events for doctoral researchers at the CRC 1683.

The event, which will now take place the first Friday of each month, offers space for exchange, networking and professional impulses. Each meeting focuses on a specific topic, the doctoral researchers take an active role in shaping its content.
The following program is planned for the upcoming meetings: The RUB library will provide information on academic identity management, literature research and publication strategies. The Research School will present its qualification programs for early career researchers. There will also be an excursion to the research building "Zentrum für das Engineering Smarter Produkt-Service Systeme" (ZESS) on the Mark 51°7 site, where solutions are developed at the interface of physical products and digital services.
The Academic Lunch is part of the Integrated Research Training Group. The program promotes methodological competence, specialist knowledge and interdisciplinary key qualifications in the context of scientific and professional development for doctoral researchers.
