From March 2 to 4, 2026, the final conference of SPP 2187 “Adaptive modularized constructions made in flux” took place at Ruhr University Bochum. The priority program organized the conference “Modular Construction & Reuse” together with the CRC 1683 and the TRR 277.
The event kicked off on Monday with a post-doc meeting as part of the AdvanceAEC network, whose partners include the CRC 1683. At the following welcome evening at Beckmanns Hof, participants had the opportunity for an initial exchange.
The two conference days offered a diverse program with keynotes from the SPP initiators as well as two parallel sessions in which the research results of the SPP 2187 subprojects were presented and insights into the interaction chains of the CRC 1683 and the research of the TRR 277 were provided. The program was complemented by a poster and demonstrator exhibition. Participants also had the opportunity to visit the research facility for flow production. A special highlight was the presentation of the SPP Awards during the conference dinner on Tuesday evening at the Vonovia Ruhrstadion, where outstanding scientific achievements were honored.
The final conference provided an excellent opportunity to present the state of research on interaction chains and to discuss new ideas and future collaborations.
