This year's ALERT Geomaterials Workshop took place in Aussois, France, in October 2025.

Every year, the workshop brings together international researchers from the field of geotechnical engineering and provides a platform for scientific exchange on current research topics.
Hossam Abdellatif gave a presentation on the latest results in the further development of hypoplastic models for biocemented soils – a topic directly related to subproject A04 of the Collaborative Research Center. Hanieh Babaeizad presented a poster on improving bearing capacity through microbially induced calcite precipitation (MICP), also closely related to subproject A04.

The event provided the staff of the Chair of Soil Mechanics, Foundation Engineering and Environmental Geotechnics with a platform for international exchange on the topic of geotechnical engineering.
