26.09.2025

Teuffel Vortrag

As part of the CRC 1683 Quarterly Meeting on September 19, 2025, Prof. Patrick Teuffel gave an online lecture on the topic of “ReCreate – Lessons Learned.”

This offered the approximately 80 researchers in attendance exciting insights into the European research project ReCreate – Reusing Precast Concrete for a Circular Economy as part of the EU funding program Horizon 2020.

Prof. Teuffel, managing partner of the Circular Structural Design office and professor of Innovation & Sustainability Strategies at SRH Berlin, presented key findings from the project, which deals with the non-destructive dismantling, processing, and reuse of precast concrete elements. The presentation highlighted not only technical and logistical challenges, but also strategic approaches to planning, design, and implementation in the context of a circular construction industry.

Following the presentation, participants discussed the challenges and opportunities of circular construction. We would like to thank Prof. Teuffel for his informative contribution and look forward to continuing our close exchange in the future.
