The newly established Collaborative Research Center 1683 officially started its first funding period with a two-day kick-off meeting.

Around 70 researchers came together on May 22 and 23 on the campus of Ruhr University Bochum. The participants got to know each other and gathered in their sub-projects. Together they discussed the goals, structure and research content of the project.
A particular highlight was the inspection of the reference components from the dismantled RUB buildings NA and GC. These slabs, columns and beams will be used as demonstrators in the future.
